July 2, 2008Hello everyone it's been a few months since I have written a newsletter and a lot has happen in that time. First, I have joined a band named Starbreaker, which features Tony Harnell (TNT, West World) on Vocals, Magnus Karlsson (Primal Fear) on Guitar, and John Macaluso (Yngwie Malmsteen, TNT,and ARK) on drums. We are releasing a new record named "Love's Dying Wish" on August 1st, 2008 in Europe. I am expecting a US release soon after. This is the band's second record, the first was self titled and really made a huge splash on the melodic rock scene. Be sure to check out Starbreakers MySpace page www.myspace.com/starbreaker for the single "End of Alone". I am hoping we can put together some live shows for later this year or early 2009. There are plans for a new Air Supply record; we are looking at a release in fall/winter 2008. I have co-written a song with Graham Russell for this album which is entitled "Mumbo Jumbo". We are also going to be releasing a new "live" record and have plans of recording it in Israel.Air Supply has been busier then ever this year with touring and things just seem to be getting busier and busier every year! We are doing an "around the world" tour (which we are in the middle of right now) and of course making stops at some of our regular venues. Check out www.airsupplymusic.com for tour updates and a show close to you. I have also been doing some local Utah shows with my good friends SuperSoFar and we are releasing a new record called "Drama Club" in a couple of months. Everything for the record has been recorded, and mixing is almost complete. Check out www.supersofar.com for more info.Of course I have also been working on my 4th solo record, but it keeps taking on a new identity with every passing month. At this rate I'm going to have enough songs for two new records. I will keep plugging away at it. I do promise to have special guest artists on this one along with my live band. Speaking of my live band, we will be doing some shows in Nov/Dec this year in Utah. So, keep your eyes open for that as well.I think that's it for now.All the best,Jonni

September 15, 2007Hello All, Wow, what can I say...it has been one of the busiest years of touring I have ever had! I have been all over the world again (just this summer) from Jamaica to Mexico to Turks to Aruba to Canada to South Africa to the U.S.A. to...well you name it...with still more to come. Japan, China, Ireland, England, Italy, and Germany are all within the next few weeks!South Africa was a new place for me to visit. It was amazing to see and perform in such a beautiful place. We all went on a mini safari at a Lion Preserve in Johannesburg and saw some amazing animals, including a white lion, hyenas, black panthers, and giraffes. It was truly an experience I will never forget! Even with very little time at home this year, I have still found time to work on my next record. I have been throwing around a few different names for the CD (more on that in a future newsletter) and have been working a lot on writing new music for the record. Things are shaping up to be a great record. I just finished mixing the show I did in Berkeley, CA. and Zon Guitars will be releasing the CD and DVD of the show. It was an amazing night of bass music with great friends and musicians. I'm very excited about the release of both the CD and DVD. We are hoping to have it released around the start of the New Year. I believe it will be available through www.zonguitars.com and will be called "Zon Guitars presents: An Ultimate Night of Bass".
See you at the shows...Jonni

January 17, 2007Hello Everyone,The bass institute of Atlanta did an interview about me earlier this month. It was a lot of fun to talk about my history with music and joining Air Supply. If you would like to read the interview here is the link to:http://www.instituteofbass.com/bass_facesAir Supply has started its 2007 tour; we started in Alton, IL. The shows were amazing and we played a new version of "Faith in Love". The version is something Graham and I came up with in the studio. 2007 is looking like it's going to be a great year for Air Supply, so make sure to catch a show near you.
Peace and Love,Jonni
January 4, 2007Hello Everyone and Happy New Year!! Wow! It's already 2007. I thought cars would be flying by 2007! Well, I'm happy to say that things in 2007 will be busier than 2006. The Air Supply tour schedule is filling up and I have begun working on my next solo record. I will also be filming a music video for the song "Say HI to the Monkeys". 2007 also marks the beginning of my new band "Family Rocks" in which I will be performing with my friend Peter Van Horn and the members from my band. I'm really looking forward to this band; it's really going to be a lot of fun. Well, don't forget to catch Air Supply this year; a lot of new things are going to happen this year with the live show.
